Earth Day South Sound 2021 - A Year Round Commitment to Sustainability and greening 

Our Mission

The South Sound is coming together this Earth Day 2021 to celebrate, the outdoors and sustainability. During 2021, we are building an ever-expanding collaborative of organizations, businesses, and individuals committed to working together to get outdoors in the South Sound as a way of celebrating Earth Day.

What we hope to achieve

  • Plant and care for 210,000 trees in the South Sound.

  • Invite everyone in South Sound to hug a tree on April 22nd to kick-off this year of trees.

  • Celebrate trees in creative ways throughout the Region.

  • Invite community members to participate in tree planting at home and throughout the Region.

  • Bring partners together in new ways to preserve, care, and plant trees every year.

  • Invite community members to adopt trees by making a pledge to water, apply mulch, and monitor tree health.

  • Raise funds to purchase and plants trees in the South Sound.
