Seattle Parks Foundation is proud to present Earth Day 2025: Seattle’s Innovation & Leadership in Climate Equity on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Town Hall Seattle. Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the event will begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale now.
The event will be moderated by Hannah Murphy Winter (they/them), Editor-in-Chief of The Stranger, Seattle’s alternative biweekly newspaper. Their leadership at The Stranger reflects a commitment to inclusive storytelling and amplifying marginalized voices.
Featured speakers:
Joycelyn Chui (she/her) – Restaurant 2 Garden co-founder
Mickey Fearn (he/him) – Professor of Practice, North Carolina State University and former Deputy Director at National Park Service
Howard Frumkin, M.D. (he/him) – Professor Emeritus, University of Washington School of Public Health
Ashley R. Townes (she/her) – Fish Ecologist, University of Washington PhD Student, Be’er Sheva Park Project
Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet grassroots organizations who are addressing the many facets of climate change and equity in our region. They will have displays in the lobby to share information about their work and how attendees can get involved.
