Orcas Love Raingardens Volunteer event

Raingardens are a great way to help us divert, infiltrate and clean our storm water runoff, and they need our help so they can remain in the best of shape. Join us for a fun filled day of raingarden beautification.

With school out until the fall, we’re gearing up for several community volunteer days at Tacoma Public School raingardens. Join us at any of six events we have planned for the summer: July 8th, July 17th, July 24th, August 7th, August 11th, and August 14th.

We’ll be updating volunteer events as needed following public health guidance (related to COVID, heat, and/or air quality), but we’ll generally aim to be out in the morning (before it gets too hot), keep groups small (no more than XX people), and requiring masks for anyone who is unvaccinated.

If you want to set up a separate volunteer shift with your co-workers, teammates, family, or friends, let me know! We’re happy to set up a volunteer shift with you. This is a great way to see folks in person again while giving back to our public schools and protecting orcas from pollution!
