Did you know that the South Sound is home to the unique Garry oak habitat? Join the Tacoma Tree Foundation and the Environmental Sciences & Technology program for a tour of Clover Park Technical College's Flett Outdoor Lab property, followed by some restoration activities like pulling out invasive plants. This stewardship will protect and restore habitat in the grove of 700 Garry Oak trees and adjacent to the Flett Wetland.

Be sure to dress for the outdoors and wear sturdy footwear. Some tools will be available. If you have your own tools (gloves, loppers, shovels, weed wrench), please feel to bring them to ensure we have enough!
