Help plant trees with the Tacoma Tree Foundation!

Description:

We are bringing trees to Parkland in 2023 with the support of Pierce County and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Residents of the Parkland designated census area can sign up to receive free trees for their property, as well as resources on tree planting and care through a Tree Stewards Training.

Our goal is to distribute 200 trees to homes in Parkland! Parkland is a neighborhood with one of the lowest Tree Equity Scores in the state, so increasing the amount of tree coverage in this area will have impactful social and environmental benefits.

Apply by February 14, 2023 at the link below to participate! Most trees will be distributed  by February 23, 2023 with volunteer planting assistance available on February 25, 2023.

You are also welcome to come to our Walk-up Tree Share on February 25th at the Sprinker Recreation Center parking lot (14824 C St S, Tacoma, WA 98444) from 10am-3pm.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us plant trees in Parkland on 2/25. We will meet at the Sprinker Recreation Center parkling lot at 8:30am and be assisting homeowners with planting their trees.
